42nd Annual Conference
Annual Conference of the International Association for the Study of German Politics (IASGP)
Goethe-Institut, Masarykovo nábřeží 32
Prague
16-17 June 2016
The IASGP is pleased to announce that the Association’s annual conference will take place in the Goethe Institute in the historic city of Prague on June 16-17 2016 in collaboration with the Faculty of Social Science from the Charles University.
The German Politics lecture will be held by Prof. Dr. Hanns Maull from the SWP. The German Ambassador to the Czech Republic, Dr. Arndt Freiherr Freytag von Loringhoven and Dr. Berthold Franke, the Director of the Goethe Institute, and a speaker from the Charles University (TBC) will also address the conference.
The conference will bring together researchers on German Politics based in the UK, US, Germany and beyond. Paper (and also panel) proposals can be submitted by members and non-members alike. Non-members whose papers are accepted will need to join the Association in order to present at the conference. The programme committee would be particularly interested to receive proposals on Germany’s political economy, Germany’s foreign policy, the German federal election and comparative research where Germany is a prominent case-study. Papers/panels on the politics of other German speaking countries are also very welcome. The deadline for submitting 200 word abstracts to the programme committee (through Melanie Kintz at melanie.kintz@phil.tu-chemnitz.de) is 12th March 2016.
Queries should be addressed to the IASGP Administrative Assistant, Martine Huberty (m.huberty@sussex.ac.uk).
